How It Works
Request Support
Tell us what you need and when you need it.
We Review It
SeatForAll makes sure the request fits the Community Support program.
We Find a Volunteer
We look for a volunteer who may be a good fit based on availability, location, preferences, allergies, and the type of support requested.
You Connect
Once everything is confirmed, both people receive the information they need for the scheduled support.
SeatForAll Community Support is a volunteer-powered program. Submitting a request does not guarantee that a volunteer will be available or that services can be provided. Requests are matched based on volunteer availability, the type of assistance requested, service area, safety considerations, and program guidelines. If we are unable to find a volunteer for your request, we will contact you and, when appropriate, discuss rescheduling or other available resources. SeatForAll staff are not automatically assigned to requests when a volunteer is unavailable.

Reasonable non-medical help around the home.
Errands & Everyday Tasks
Practical help with everyday needs when a volunteer is available.

If you are not sure whether your request fits, you can still ask. SeatForAll will review it.
Community Support visits and sessions are generally limited to 2 hours. Longer visits require approval.

Community Support welcomes referrals from disability organizations, healthcare and community organizations, schools, social workers, nonprofits, businesses and others who work with people with disabilities and older adults.

Volunteer opportunities vary based on community requests and may include companionship, household help, errands and other everyday assistance.

Volunteer Safety Comes First
Every Community Support request is reviewed with volunteer safety in mind. Volunteers always have the right to decline an assignment or leave a situation that feels unsafe.
